Finances & Requirements for PLAB 2 Visa

The more money you have, the better, as long as you can verify that you acquired it lawfully or that you legally possess it. If someone is supporting you, you must show that they earned it legitimately or that they legally possess it.

Bank Statement

It is best to include a bank statement from the last six months. There is no requirement requiring you to attach it for the previous six months. There have been cases where people attached statements for three months and still received their visas. However, attaching it for six months is good.

Bank Balance

This is directly tied to your trip cost. The expense of your vacation should ideally be 10 to 20% (maximum 33%) of your money balance.

Explain Opening Bank Balance

At the start of your bank statement, you must describe your bank balance. You must provide verifiable proof that you lawfully possess this money.

Explain Transactions

You must describe in full every incoming and outgoing transactions in your account. You must demonstrate that any money you deposit in your account was legally earned. They also want to know that any money you withdraw from your account was done so for legal reasons. It may be simple to explain your pay. However, you must justify all other transactions in your bank balance as well. The ECO want to ensure that you are not involved in any financial corruption or other unlawful behaviour. They'll also want to know if your balance corresponds to your story.

Financial Sponsor

It is preferable to have a financial sponsor to strengthen your case. It doesn't matter how much money you have in your own account; having a financial sponsor is always a good idea. It is preferable if the person sponsoring you is your parent or a sibling. You can also be sponsored by your uncle or aunt.
